Flame on water
those petals of orange flowers
shaping the rock
in the hurrying current of the stream
like the wax figure of a maiden
falling
in an orange corset
down
into the water
that washes away
or
spurting up
in molten fire
shaping itself
into a spire
of God sense
spotting for a moment
in the wilderness
